B and B Ambleside
Claremont House Ambleside is right in the heart of the English Lake district, a friendly village with buildings of the Lakeland stone with a spectacular mountain backdrop. It is ideally situated to tour and explore one of Britain's most beautiful National Parks.

Claremont house is a typical Victorian building centrally located in Ambleside with some of the UK's finest scenery and the country's most popular climbing and upland walking areas just a short drive away. It is less than a minutes walk to the many restaurants, pubs, shops and park offered by Ambleside and only 10 minutes walk from the north end of Windermere Lake which offers a variety of water activities, water sports and Lake Cruises. In the town, you will find everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Claremont House is owned by Dave and Angle Owen who have both lived in and around Ambleside for over 25 years. Dave worked as a senior warden for the National Trust in the Windermere, Grasmere and Langdale area and has been a volunteer member of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue team so we can supply you with information and advice on walks, climbing areas, cycle routes and places of interest in our area. From the door there are walks to suit every degree of fitness and ability, from strenuous all day felltops to easy low level rambles.

Parking is by permit and safe storage for bikes is available.
